I’ve been playing Octopath Traveler 2 on Switch and honestly getting a bit bored of it! But determined to finish. I like the art, the music, the different storylines, it’s just going on a bit too long for me
I haven’t heard of that series of games. It looks really nice! Oh I hate it when that happens. I hope it doesn’t finish badly. Hopefully you haven’t got too long to go but sometimes it’s also nice to just say “I enjoyed this much.” 💚
Every time I need to pick a game to play for the Deck I struggle to chose between: shortest, newest and a game I'd like to play that will take me like month or two :D
Bionic Bay looks very interesting. However, I guess it won't be as brilliant as Limbo and Inside I guess :) But I might give it a try as those two games are belong to my all time favorites.
I’m about 2/3 through the game and have some positive and more critical thoughts. I am enjoying it and mostly comparing it to limbo but it is a lot more forgiving (which is explained but doesn’t always work for me). I’ll write about it soon. But it has been fun!
Mario Kart World is a game where I have watched a lot of gameplay videos. It's the open-world concept that really caught my eye. I haven't owned a Mario Kart game since Mario Kart 64, but I do like how the games have evolved throughout the years. The open-world doesn't look perfect, but it provides an opportunity for future updates to continously add and improve.
Yes I hope they do more with the open world. I do find it pretty chill and fun to explore and Any Austin on YouTube has already done an “interesting sights” video for Mario kart world so I’ll be looking at those areas next 😅
Bionic Bay looks nice!!
I’m hoping to have a review written around the end of the week 🤞 some nice elements in it and it’s just been a bit of silly fun too

Love the fact that your backlog consists mostly of new games :D I wish mine would to :D
That’s a false impression but I have been playing more new games this year for sure. And getting the switch 2 has meant new purchases. ☺️
Last year I spent most hours on games 7 years old 😅 some I still need to write about.

Yes! I tend to have a short one on the go like 2D side scroller, a rogue like and then maybe an RPG. But then choosing a new combo is hard 😅🤣

Also digging Mario Kart World! Knockout Tour online is wild fun. I also agree with you about the open world mode. I've found it sadly lackluster.
The knockout tour really gets your heart beating! So far I’ve always managed top 4 but it’s so on edge sometimes 🤣
