I only have 2 Switch 2 exclusive games, MK and Age of Imprisonment, I'd say it's been a great purchase, I still have DK Bananza to play as well plus because I have NSO+ membership I can play GameCube games. So yess a great purchase for me
Oh, Switch 2 … my first Note on Substack was about Switch 2. I dare you to scroll back through my feed and read it. It think you’ll like it!
No Switch 2 for me yet. I can’t justify upgrading right now. I barely have time to play the original Switch 🤣. I did take it with me on a family cruise last year to play BoTW, but that never happened because I was too busy actually enjoying my vacation. It was a good attempt though.
Just like you, I got my Switch much later in its lifecycle, so it still feels new to me 🤣, but I’ll upgrade to the 2 one day.
I'm still waiting for a good reason for upgrading from Switch to Switch 2. Donkey Kong Bananza is one reason, but I can still play all my current games (far too many) on the original. To be fair, Switch 2 has only been out half a year, so I think it has plenty of time to show what it is capable of, and I suspect 2026 will start that off.
It’s reassuring to hear someone else calculates cost/play time when making a purchase.
Thanks for making me feel I’m not alone out there on that one.
I do not have a Switch 2, but keep revisiting the idea. I’ll likely get one someday, but the Nintendo specific games library just isn’t there for me yet.
Yeah it was a tricky decision to make for me as well.
I love working out my cost per hour of gameplay on PC as it isn't too bad. :D Although I did get some newer parts in 2025, so need to add that to my calculation. Oops!

Good to hear your thoughts Margot.
Thank you. Yeah I reckon it will get a lot more exciting games on it soon. The next year will look interesting for sure
